Aldora Signs Letter of Intent to Acquire Lenoir Mirror Company

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla., and LENOIR, N.C., Aug. 18, 2026 — Aldora
Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products plans a $1.8 million investment at the North Carolina mirror maker, keeping two of the industry’s oldest names in the hands of industry operators.
Aldora Aluminum and Glass Products, a leading manufacturer of architectural glass and aluminum systems, today announced it has signed a letter of intent to acquire Lenoir Mirror Company, a manufacturer of silvered and fabricated mirror products based in Lenoir, North Carolina.
Founded in 1913, Lenoir Mirror has supplied furniture makers, construction suppliers and glazing customers for more than a century. Aldora intends to operate the plant as its dedicated mirror manufacturing facility, retain the Lenoir workforce and invest about $1.8 million over 18 months — modernizing the silvering line, upgrading fabrication and handling equipment, and expanding capacity.
For customers of both companies, the combination means a more dependable, domestically produced supply of high-quality mirror with shorter lead times. Lenoir’s products will soon be available through Aldora’s eight manufacturing and distribution locations across the eastern U.S., while Lenoir’s existing customers will continue to be served from the Lenoir plant with newly expanded capabilities.
The combination also keeps both companies together led by experienced professionals with deep roots in the glass industry. Together, Aldora and Lenoir bring more than 150 years of combined industry experience to the partnership. At a time when much of the glass industry is consolidating under investment firms, Aldora — a privately held fifth-generation family business — has a different approach: operators from the industry are investing their own capital and making decisions measured in generations, rather than fund cycles.
“Lenoir Mirror is a rare company, with a century of craft, a skilled team and a made-in-America product our industry needs more of,” said Leon Silverstein, chief executive officer. “My family has been in the glass business for five generations, and we buy companies to build them, not to flip them. We intend to invest in the people and the plant, grow the business and make Lenoir the mirror manufacturing center for everything we do. Our customers have been asking for dependable domestic mirror supply and shorter lead times. This delivers both.”
“For 113 years this company has taken care of its people and its customers, and finding a partner who would carry that forward mattered more to us than anything,” said Darrell Wilson, president and chief executive officer of Lenoir Mirror Company. “We had choices, and we chose the glass family. Aldora is privately held, run by people who have spent their lives in this industry, and committed to investing in Lenoir for the long term. This is the right home for our company and a strong outcome for our employees and community.”
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to completion of due diligence and customary closing conditions.
