72,000-SQUARE-FOOT FACILITY ADDS CAPACITY AND LOCAL JOBS
Newport News, Va. (31 January 2022) – Glass and aluminum systems fabricator, Aldora, has acquired a new 72,000 -square-foot fabrication facility located in Newport News, Va. The building is already 100% under crane. Originally, Aldora announced building a new manufacturing facility in Chesterfield Va. but, according to CEO Leon Silverstein, “due to the escalating cost of construction materials and the timing of construction we are now fortunate in finding an alternative building In Newport News. This newest facility services an area that has been underserved by the market according to our preliminary research. Our model has been to add locations that will fit strategically into our current geographic coverage.”
The new facility will be the fabricator’s seventh location for servicing the mid-Atlantic and Southeastern United States. The warehouse will be located at:
280 Enterprise Drive, Newport News, Va.
Aldora’s Newport News facility will create between 40-75 jobs for the local community. Currently, Aldora is looking to hire some key positions for this location, such as Outside Sales, Branch and Plant Manager and they are accepting resumes for experienced glass manufacturing people who can lead in production. The full-service glass fabrication and distribution facility will serve a 150-mile geographical radius to include Richmond, Baltimore, Washington DC, Norfolk, Raleigh-Durham, Roanoke, and many points in between.
Retail Glass shops, Glazing Contractors, and OEM accounts can expect quality products and efficient service from the new Aldora facility, including:
- Distribution of Glass, Mirrors, and Shower Doors
- Tempered glass products produced with a state-of-the-art convection oven (3mm –19mm)
- Fabricated glass and shower doors crafted using precision glass fabrication equipment
- Insulated glass assembled through an automated vertical IG line
Aldora will be fully operational by February 2023.
