CDL Driver

Essential Duties and Responsibilities for CDL Driver

Responsible for transporting, loading and unloading glass products on Aldora delivery routes. This position requires a lot of bending, twisting and reaching during customer deliveries.

 

Experience Requirements

Minimum of 2 years recent CMV driving experience or DOT drivers training class completion. 1 year of verifiable driving experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Delivers product to Aldora customers on time, efficiently, and accurately while maintaining the highest customer satisfaction.
  • Unload/load glass and metal as required at each stop.
  • Follow all DOT and Aldora safety policies.
  • Maintain trucks and a neat and clean manner, take for PM when due.
  • Call in all backorders, missed deliveries, etc.
  • Perform pre-trip inspections.
  • Ensure load is safe and secured properly prior to route and at every stop.

Qualifications

  • Able to work a flexible start time.
  • Must be able complete log requirements and all other assigned necessary paperwork.
  • Must be able to read and interpret mathematical measurements of glass sizes, delivery schedules, and tape measure.
  • Must be in compliance with all DOT requirements including an unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate.
  • Good customer relations and people skills a must.
  • Ability to wear all required safety equipment including safety boots with toe guards.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.
  • Withstand repetitive hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder motions
